Design, integration and deployment of wired and wireless network infrastructures that are both efficient and adaptable.
Network services are the foundation of a modern business environment. We engage in network support and maintenance - offering planning, design and implementation of networking solutions. Our network security solutions help to protect networks, desktops and servers from external (and internal) attacks and misuse. Wired or wireless, from individual desktops to corporate enterprise installations - we provide cost-effective and easily managed solutions ensuring you maintain uninterrupted business operations. We also provide a range of Data Backup and Storage Solutions to fit any budget.
Save9 specialises in both wired and wireless networks - including cabling, routers, switches, bridges and IP (Internet Protocol) based technologies, including resilient networks such as the project outlined below:
Wide area networks (WANs)
A wide area network (WAN) is a computer network that covers a broad geographic area (i.e. communications links cross metropolitan, regional, or national boundaries). The largest and most well-known example of a WAN is the Internet. WAN data communication solutions from Save9 can utilise the public internet if desired but we often use private transmission facilities provided by UK carriers to guarantee security and reliability.
Local area networks (LANs)
A local area network (LAN) is a computer network covering a contained area like an office, or small group of buildings - such as a school or office block. Current wired LANs from Save9 are based on high-speed Ethernet technology (Gigabit networking) and include both copper and fibre cabling services. Save9 helps customers protect their LANs from Internet threats using SonicWALL firewalls and, as a Cisco Select Certified partner, we specialise in Cisco firewalls, routers and LAN switches.
Network integration services:
- Ethernet switches
- Cat5e, 6, 6A & 7 cabling
- Wi-Fi Networking
- Internet Routers
- Firewalls & UTM
- Network Intrusion Prevention
- SSL-VPNs
- Load balancing
- Fail-over internet
- Gateway AV & Anti-Spam
- IP Telephony
Wireless networks (Wireless LANs)
Instead of using wires to transmit data back and forth between computers, servers and the internet router in an area such as your office, Save9 can help you deploy secure Wireless LANs using wi-fi technology from companies such as Cisco, ZyXEL, Netgear and SonicWALL. Wireless networking can be setup very quickly and it costs considerably less to install, when compared to network cabling. If your organisation offers the flexibility of wireless internet access to laptop and mobile wi-fi device users (i.e. employees or visitors) by deploying a secure wi-fi solution from Save9 then you will find it much easier to manage internet connections whilst retaining security of your LAN.
Broadband internet access (ADSL, SDSL and Fibre-optic)
Save9 offers some of the fastest and most reliable broadband internet services currently available in the UK. Our partners include BT, Demon and NYnet so you can be assured of the best possible performance speeds and customer service levels. In practice, advertised broadband bandwidth speeds are not always reliably available to customers when they order so please get in touch with Save9 to help you select the best solution for your needs. The latest NYnet and BTnet fibre technologies plus QoS (Quality of Service) based broadband packages offer a much better return on your investment – helping you to dramatically reduce telephony call costs and line rental fees.
Metropolitan area networks (MANs)
A metropolitan area network (MAN) is a network that connects two or more local area networks or but does not extend beyond the boundaries of the immediate town or city. Routers, switches and hubs are connected to create a metropolitan area network. If you are considering a MAN for you next project please get in touch with Save9 to discuss our current WiMAX product range.
Multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) networks
Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) enables enterprises to build next-generation intelligent networks that deliver a wide variety of advanced, value-added services over a single infrastructure. This economical solution can be integrated seamlessly over any existing infrastructure, such as IP, Frame Relay, ATM or Ethernet. Subscribers with differing access links can be aggregated on an MPLS edge without changing their current environments, as MPLS is independent of access technologies.
Virtual private networks (VPNs)
VPN or virtual private network technology supplied and configured by Save9 allows you to securely connect remote offices and remote users using cost-effective internet access. Our different types of VPN provide the highest possible levels of security across the public internet through encryption and authentication technologies – protecting all data traversing the VPN from unauthorised access. You can quickly add new remote sites or workers, dramatically increasing the reach of your organisation’s network without significantly expanding infrastructure.
Save9 offers two types of encrypted VPNs: Site-to-Site VPNs (an alternative to frame relay or leased-line WANs) allow you to permanently extend your network resources to branch offices, home workers and business partner sites. Remote Access VPNs (on-demand connections) extending almost any data, voice or video application to the remote desktop - emulating a main office desktop computer (i.e. 'virtually' there).
Intranets & Extranets
An intranet is the internal network of an organisation typically having at least one internal web server to provide users with organisational information via simple web-browser access. Save9 offers third-party Intranet products such as Microsoft SharePoint 2007 or we can build an entirely customised solution to fit your precise needs. The benefits of intranets are low cost-per-desktop because a web-browser, not a dedicated application, is the only software required by each user and the added value of a company-wide knowledge base.
An extranet is a network that is not limited in scope to a single organisation but also has connections to the networks of other trusted organisations (e.g. suppliers or customers that may be given limited access to some part of your intranet). Building closer relationships with regular suppliers and customers using an extranet can provide you with a number of benefits – it reduces staff communication overheads, develops long-term reliance on your products/services and builds trust between respective organisations; if deployed professionally by an experienced specialist such as Save9.
